Visit a solar array in the snow, desert and the jungle is a weekly challenge in Fortnite Battle Royale. If you want to complete it, you'll have to find the three solar farms mentioned in the description – one in each biome. They're pretty big, visible from the air even, but you still might miss them. If that's the case, keep reading our Fortnite visit solar array in snow, desert & jungle guide, and we'll help you through it.

Solar array locations

The one in the snow is in the western part of the biome, on the edge of the map. You'll find it at the Frosty Flights airport, directly south from the hangars. Seems like an odd place for solar panels, what with the snow falling and the constant need for cleaning. Plus, they're facing east, which is just wasteful.

The next farm is in the desert. You'll find it east of Paradise Palms, on the hill between the city and John Wick's house. These are also facing east, which makes me think someone at Epic forgot to do their research.

The last array is the one in the jungle. It's in the northern part of the map, north from the volcano and east from the hot springs. Again, facing east. Maybe they have one of those fancy sun-tracking systems, where the panels slowly turn to always face the sun?

Since you only have to get to the location, it's a pretty easy challenge all in all. There are chests at some of them, so there's no doubt people will try to grief players looking to complete the task. As always, if you experience any difficulties, just let it simmer for a couple of days and visit them once the rush is over.

Fortnite in general

Fortnite Battle Royale is a player-versus-player Battle Royale game for up to 100 players, allowing one to play alone, in a duo, or in a squad (usually consisting of three or four players). Weaponless players airdrop from a 'Battle Bus' that crosses the game's map. Fortnite Battle Royale was released on September 26, 2017.

Battle Royale features in-app purchases for cosmetic items. These items offer no in game advantages.

How to play

Main article: Guide:Battle Royale Basics

There are multiple ways to play Battle Royale. Typically the modes are Solo, Duos, Squads, Team Rumble, Battle Lab and Creative, in addition to one or more Limited Time Modes. There is also Arena Solo and Trios for people who want to play competitively. Players leap out of the Battle Bus as it travels across the map at a random trajectory and choose a place to land. Players try to stay in the safe zone to avoid an ever-encroaching storm that encircles the map, doing damage to players when it touches them. The last player or group standing is awarded a Victory Royale.

Battle Royale Weapons

Main article: Battle Royale Weapons

When starting out, all players spawn with a Harvesting Tool. In a pinch the Harvesting Tool can be used in combat, but its short range and low damage (only 20 per hit) make it ineffective for most encounters with other players. It is best suited for breaking objects to obtain Materials. In order to obtain other weapons that are better suited towards combat, players must find them in Chests, Supply Drops, on the ground in the world, or by eliminating other players. There is more than one type of weapon, each having different ranges, damage, and rarities.

Battle Royale shares some weapon types with Save the World, though some Battle Royale versions look different and have different stats from their Save the World counterparts.

Items

Along with Weapons, there are many items to pick up and use in Battle Royale. Some of these provide health regeneration or bonus shields, while others perform a variety of functions related to building. Some Vehicles are also in the game. For more information about the items in Battle Royale, see Battle Royale Items.

Building

Main article: Building

Building is a core mechanic of Battle Royale and functions in the same manner as building in Save the World. Knowing how, when, and where to build are vital when competing for a Victory Royale. Unlike Save the World, structures cannot be upgraded using materials. For tips and strategies about building, see Battle Royale Guides.

Battle Pass

Gameplay in Battle Royale is marked by seasons. At the beginning of each season, players are given a blank slate and the possibility of earning in-game cosmetic items for achieving certain goals and gaining experience. This functionality is extended through the purchase of a Battle Pass, which offers a much greater pool of goals and cosmetic rewards. Weekly challenges provide a welcome twist to gameplay as players can earn experience for levels. For more information about this feature, see Battle Pass.
